Marie Ostarello, MFA

Creative Director

Marie’s least favorite words: It can’t be done. On the other hand, as a creative director and a writer, she has lots of favorite words, which, when put together, make magic for brands.

Marie has worked on global, national and regional accounts throughout her 20-year ad agency career in Chicago and the Denver/Boulder region. For nine years she worked at Sterling-Rice Group in Boulder, quickly rising to Creative Director on some of the agency’s largest, busiest accounts. Marie’s background is extensive, and she’s bringing her passion for creative to all of KidGlov, while specifically helping to grow the business and team in Colorado.

Also a literary writer with an MFA, Marie is a poet, essayist and master of fiction, which lends itself to your brand or organization when it comes to voice, story and wordsmithing. Her writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in some of the nation’s most prestigious journals. Growing up on the southside of Chicago in an Italian family only enhanced her storytelling abilities (the competition around the table was fierce).

Thoughtful Rebel

Marie is a rebel with a cause, and her cause is your business or organization. She believes obstacles are opportunities to find an inventive solution on a deadline. She’s one to flip rocks, turn things upside down, and see things in a whole new light.

In her down time, Marie hikes the Rocky Mountains and enjoys the company of her love, Ryan, and her cat, Mila—who not coincidentally has an extensive vocabulary.
