Maddy Hager
Copywriter
Maddy began shaping her identity as a woman of letters at an early age, starting with self-publishing short stories and distributing them to family members. That same unbridled enthusiasm has evolved into a lifelong love of writing, and she readily brings this heartfelt passion into crafting copy for KidGlov.
In her younger years, she roamed the halls of her dad’s ad agency, the minnow PROJECT. There, she was first exposed to the thrill of cultivating creative ideas to tell a client’s story. Maddy went on to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she majored in English and Film Studies and served as editor-in-chief of Laurus, the university’s undergraduate literary journal. Before joining KidGlov, she spent time cutting her teeth on digital and content strategy, doing everything from serving as the social media manager at one of Nebraska’s largest banks to writing fundraising emails for a Presidential campaign.
As a recipient of an AMA Prism award for outstanding social strategy, Maddy’s 10+ years in marketing and advertising combine a background in all things content with a genuine affinity for language and creating impactful messaging. She firmly believes in the power of the written word to change the world – and intends to do so.
Insightful Wordsmith
When she’s not composing standout messaging at KidGlov, Maddy channels her inner Jo March with creative writing. She was last published in Wildfire Magazine and was invited to read at an accompanying live event and later on Wildfire’s podcast, The Burn. Her essay is included in the book “Igniting the Fire Within: Stories of Healing, Hope & Humor,” featuring work by individuals diagnosed with breast cancer in their 20s.
Naturally, Maddy loves to read. If you need a recommendation, one of her favorite books is The Bright Hour by Nina Riggs (but grab a tissue). In her downtime, she enjoys collecting perfume, hitting the gym, and going to concerts with her husband, Joe.
