Amy Gerhart Favreau
Writer & Strategist
A unique blend of writer, journalist, and marketer, Amy leverages this trifecta of skills and experience to add power and purpose to words. A former CMO, her background includes positions in publishing, agency, non-profit, healthcare, finance, retail, and corporate, working with high-profile global corporate leaders, small-but-mighty local nonprofits, and just about everything in between. She’s as comfortable with brand strategy as she is with blogging, and is a regular ghostwriter for CEOs, authors, and even an NFL coach.
Amy has been a business owner and independent consultant since 1996, and in 2012 turned the one-time side hustle into her full-time enterprise. She is proud to be a trusted partner of KidGlov since 2018. A long-time American Marketing Association volunteer, Amy has served locally and nationally since 2002. She wrote the AMA’s chapter management and leadership handbook, and in 2015 was honored as the AMA’s North American Chapter Volunteer of the Year.
Amy is graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she received a B.S. in Magazine Journalism. A Pennsylvania native, she has called the Richmond, Virginia, area home long enough to love grits and sweet tea.
Curiouser and Curiouser
Amy believes curiosity is the key to creativity. She is a hand-raiser, question-asker, observer, explorer, and listener. She thrives on discovering new information, new ideas, new paths, and new connections, and is energized by the ongoing pursuit of being better — whether that be a better writer, a better strategist, a better parent, a better human.
It’s no surprise Amy’s curiosity is deeply rooted in how she lives, learns, and plays every day — always aspiring to grow the extra mile. It’s rare to find her without a book (or two!) in hand. She’s an eager consumer of blogs, pods, reels, and docs. And as a foodie who tests a minimum of 50 new recipes every year, she’s as creative in the kitchen as she is at the keyboard.
Amy is happiest at the baseball field, on an erg, eating chocolate, and making a difference.
