The Center for People
A New Face for a Growing Mission
From Poverty to Independence
The Center for People in Need opened its doors in 2003, providing food, diapers, and other basic needs to people struggling with poverty. Their mission—and their impact—have been expanding ever since. Today, they offer everything from education and personal development to pathways to better careers.
They help people from all walks of life break cycles of poverty and achieve economic independence.
With so much progress, The Center for People had outgrown its existing brand and communications. After an earlier attempt at rebranding fell short, they came to KidGlov for a new look, voice, and strategy that could accommodate their many programs while still conveying a unified sense of purpose.

The Many Faces of Hope
KidGlov captured the bright, hopeful feeling of The Center for People’s headquarters in the new materials, the words “in need” were dropped from the official name and the color palette was softened. The website was then built around personal stories of clients who have found support and success.
Direct mail postcards introduced the new brand to the community and encouraged people to take part in holiday food and toy programs and the new Talent Marketplace. Today their programs reflect that The Center for People is focused on moving beyond poverty––to better opportunities, careers, and lives.

Our community often feels unheard, and we wanted to ensure their voices resonated throughout our website and marketing materials. KidGlov was responsive to our direction and celebrated our community through intentional storytelling and joyful images.
