That may sound alarming, but you know what’s really alarming? The opioid crisis. The misuse of and addiction to opioids (from prescription pain relievers to heroin) is growing.

Region V System’s Prevention Coalition partnered with KidGlov to save lives, by educating people about the dangers of opioids and providing tips to prevent addiction and overdosing.

And how better to save lives, than with a Life Saver? Drawing inspiration from the brightly colored candy, the campaign asked viewers to stop and think.

Saving Lives = Sweet Success

The goal of this campaign was to be so positively disruptive that it made people stop and think about what they were putting into their bodies.

It may be laced with fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that could kill you or someone you love. It takes one moment, one pause to save a life.

The success of this thought-provoking work is bittersweet – remarkable awareness was gained but our fight is far from over.
