Sparking Vital Conversations

The Nebraska Family Helpline (Helpline) is a vital resource for families, offering support anytime, anywhere. With a growing demand for their services, they partnered with KidGlov to showcase their impactful work with three innovative videos, all from a unique point of view: teenagers.

KidGlov wanted parents to know there is help available while piquing the interest of local teens to create awareness around tough topics. The videos spotlighted bullying, depression, and substance abuse. The videos were distributed via social media (Facebook and Instagram), broadcast TV, and OTT platforms, and were aimed at parents throughout the state.

Empowering Families Through Positive Disruption

Each video complemented the Helpline’s ongoing TV spots, necessitating a cost-effective approach to their development. KidGlov achieved this by collaborating with a local high school theatre department to recruit talent. We adopted an art direction that conveyed authenticity and naturalness as if each video was filmed using a cellphone, which allowed us to employ a streamlined production crew.

In a crowded market aimed at parents, these videos needed to stand out, seize attention, and disrupt positively. KidGlov achieved this by crafting videos that mirrored genuine teen experiences as seen through their eyes. Our unique approach distinguished the videos from the competition, making them impossible for parents – and teens – to overlook.
