Recently, I attended the InSpire Women’s Leadership Awards in Lincoln, Nebraska. Sponsored by the Lincoln Journal Star, this program is in its fourth year of recognizing women who lead, mentor and encourage others.

I congratulate all of the women who were nominated, selected as finalists and tapped as InSpire winners. This event caused me to reflect on the two women who lead KidGlov’s creative department, Kelley Peterson and Jen Landis. As Creative Directors, they provide leadership and inspiration on a day-to-day basis.

If you don’t know them, let me introduce you:

Kelley Peterson, KidGlov Vice President : Creative Director

People marvel at the way Kelley pieces together complicated information into brilliant branding and marketing strategies. She has a matchless ability to translate features and benefits into disruptive messaging platforms and creative concepts. There’s always a smile on her face as she offers encouraging words to her colleagues, clients and family who look to her for sage advice and a daily dose of positivity.

The community has recognized Kelley’s special qualities as she has been named the American Marketing Association Lincoln Marketer of the Year and inducted into their Marketing Hall of Fame for lifetime achievement. She was named one of Lincoln’s 40 under 40 and her work has received numerous awards. Kelley frequently shares her marketing talents and passion speaking to local and national audiences. She holds the unique distinction of being one of the few creative directors in the country to achieve a Professional Certified Marketer designation.

Jen Landis, KidGlov Vice President : Creative Director

If you have worked with Jen, you will not be surprised to hear her say that her Patronus is a unicorn. She routinely pushes the envelope – exploring new ideas and converting them into stunning marketing concepts. Jen routinely encourages up-and-coming creative talent by speaking to groups of all ages and participating in portfolio review panels.

Jen received a 2018 InSpire Award for Entrepreneurship for her work with her personal brand, Pincurl Girls. Through this endeavor, she has spent the past 11 years being a cheerleader for building confidence in young girls through inspiring illustrations and motivational products. Not long ago, the Nelson Mandela Elementary School in Omaha purchased her inspirational calendars for every one of their students. Jen has recently been accepted into the NMotion Academy, where she is working on an entrepreneurial expansion of Pincurl Girls by developing a solution to help rectify the negative psychological effects of social media on Generation Z.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with these two incredible women and the smart, creative and inspirational team at KidGlov.
