Growing a New Identity

Sarpy County is the fastest-growing county in Nebraska. As the organization responsible for driving that growth, the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation needed an identity as vibrant and progressive as the booming economy they’re building. Their primary objective was to reflect what the organization and the county had already achieved, while articulating their vision for the future.

Initially, they approached KidGlov to create a new logo, but our discussions and discovery made it clear the need was bigger than that. The project expanded into a comprehensive brand overhaul, with a new name, tagline, messaging, and of course a dynamic new logo.

Growing Their “Growing” Brand

We wanted to galvanize local pride about Sarpy County’s impressive growth around a single message that could bring all the stakeholders together. The answer came down to the name of the organization itself. By changing a lengthy, institutional name to “Grow Sarpy,” we combined a sense of purpose, a clear identity, and an inspiring call to action. This became the heart of the new brand, and telegraphed a clear mission:

“Grow Sarpy works as a catalyst to attract new business, create jobs, enrich communities, and build potential.”

The new Grow Sarpy brand has up leveled the overall image of the organization. It effectively represents who they are today and supports their vision for the future. Sarpy continues to be the fastest growing county in the state of Nebraska.

Working with KidGlov was a smooth and well-ordered process. They helped us rethink our goals when it came to updating our logo, which eventually led us to a full rebrand.

We have received consistent positive feedback on the logo redesign and love that it incorporates multiple underlying themes in a fresh new look.”
